There is a need for cultural education to be passed on to children in communities to help correct some issues they’ve learnt that is against societal values. This is according to Mijikenda cultural elder Edward Kazungu, who says the introduction of formal education has contributed to many people abandoning their traditions and culture. He also urged young parents to learn more about cultural practices and incorporate them into their marriages and families.
