The mother of late Ohangla musician Tony Ndiema has spoken about a frightening incident at her home shortly after her son was laid to rest.
In an emotional phone call shared on TikTok, the grieving mother narrated how suspected thugs allegedly broke into her house and demanded money, leaving her distressed.
Her voice could be heard shaking as she recounted the incident, with the conversation coming only days after she had buried her son.

According to the account shared in the video, the men allegedly gained access to the house and began asking for money.
The mother, who was still mourning Tony, described the experience as overwhelming.

Her account painted a picture of a woman left vulnerable at her lowest moment.
"I do not even know what I can say. That money did not even reach KSh 200,000, so I can take KSh 50,000 and pay my debts and use the rest to buy maize and start some business to support myself. The other day, thugs broke into my house asking for the money that I was given, but before God, there is not even a shilling that the committee left me. They are the ones who even took the KSh 50,000 I was given and disappeared with it. Watu wanaweza niua bure hapa nyumbani kwangu na hakuna hata shilingi moja niliachiwa," she said.
Tony Ndiema’s Death
Tony Ndiema, whose real name was Anton Okoth Ochieng, died on June 30, 2026, while receiving treatment at Oasis Hospital in Kisii after a short illness.
His family had earlier appealed for financial assistance after his condition deteriorated.
The musician was buried on August 5 at his ancestral home in Omoche Village, Homa Bay County. His burial preparations included two candle-lighting ceremonies in Nairobi.
His death came during a difficult period for his relatives, who had already been dealing with other losses in the family.
The burial was also delayed after two close relatives died around the same period.
