MPs have called for urgent action to address the growing cancer burden in Kenya, saying the disease is claiming lives and pushing families into financial hardship. The lawmakers spoke after Kericho Woman Representative Beatrice Kemei raised concerns on the floor of the House. MPs called for increased government investment in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment, saying adequate resources are needed to strengthen the fight against the disease.
