Kenyan football fans will once again take their Manchester United and Arsenal rivalry to the pitch when the two fan bases meet at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday, 9 August 2026.
The match comes less than two months after the supporters faced off at the same venue in a contest that ended with Manchester United fans securing a 3–2 victory.
The rematch was announced by comedian and Manchester United supporter Eric Omondi, who confirmed the August 9 date after the first meeting attracted thousands of spectators.

The first encounter, held on 14 June, featured a number of Kenyan entertainers and public figures.
Omondi captained the Manchester United side, while Arsenal supporters were led by content creator Useful Idioty. Comedians YY and Mulamwah were also part of the United team.
The match attracted more than 10,000 supporters, according to reports, turning Nyayo into a lively setting for the rivalry between two of Kenya’s biggest English football fan bases.
Manchester United took the lead through a free-kick before Useful Idioty scored Arsenal’s equaliser.
Omondi then put United back in front after reacting quickest to a rebound, giving his side a 2–1 advantage at half-time.
Arsenal missed a penalty before the break, while United also wasted opportunities to extend their lead.
Khaligraph Jones, an Arsenal supporter, provided entertainment during the interval.
After the restart, Arsenal levelled the contest before United regained the advantage through a late free-kick.
The final score was Manchester United fans 3–2 Arsenal fans.
“Rematch is ON!!! 9th AUGUST!!! Kichapo ni ile ile.”
Omondi used those words when announcing the return fixture, setting the stage for another chapter in the fan rivalry.
Celebrities Expected to Add Entertainment
The first match demonstrated that the event is about more than the football.
The presence of entertainers such as Omondi, YY, Mulamwah and Khaligraph Jones helped bring a showbiz element to the fixture, while the large crowd gave the game the atmosphere of a major public event.
Omondi is again expected to be central to the Manchester United camp, having led the side during the first meeting.
Useful Idioty will also be looking to lead the Arsenal supporters after his team narrowly lost the opening contest.
The organisers have yet to publicly confirm a full line-up of celebrity participants for the rematch, making the final list of personalities one of the aspects fans will be watching as the event approaches.
Arsenal Seek Revenge
Their previous 3–2 defeat came despite mounting a second-half fightback and creating chances to change the result.
Manchester United supporters, meanwhile, will arrive with the psychological advantage of having already won the first meeting.
With both fan bases expected at Nyayo, the rematch will again combine football, entertainment and the familiar banter that surrounds the two clubs.
