Kenya has the capacity to produce affordable, high-quality menstrual products locally if the government addresses key structural barriers, a report by the Network for Adolescent and Youth of Africa (NAYA) says. The organisation calls for tax incentives and lower production costs, including electricity, to support manufacturers. The Network also urges regulatory agencies to protect consumers from poor-quality imported products.
