The ruling UDA party could suffer a major political setback in the Coast region following the decision by former Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa to leave the party. Jumwa is said to have invested significant effort and resources in campaigning for the party during the 2022 General Election. He argued that her departure could weaken UDA's popularity and influence across the Coast region.
