Vindee has opened up about the realities of taking his livestreaming career abroad, saying that while the move to Germany is a major milestone, adjusting to a new country has not been easy.
Speaking during a phone interview with Clemmo on Konnect on Radio Maisha, the content creator said living and streaming in a country where he knew very little at first has come with several challenges, from learning the environment to adapting to a different pace of life.
‘I wanted to make one international stream’
Clemmo congratulated Vindee on his latest achievement, noting that he had been following his journey closely.

“I have been following you. Congratulations on the step you’ve made. How is streaming treating you there? And how did you end up in Germany?” Clemmo asked.
Vindee explained that the move had been part of a carefully planned goal.
“Streaming is going well. I had been planning things secretly because I wanted to do one international stream.”
The creator has built a following through livestreams that showcase everyday experiences, with his broadcasts attracting thousands of viewers on social media.
Starting afresh in a foreign country
He said unfamiliar surroundings meant he had to rely on people close to him as he settled in.
“It is tough because you don’t know the places. You need someone to show you around. Fortunately, my sister is here. She has been showing me different places and explaining the rules.”
He noted that understanding local regulations and adapting to a different way of life has been part of the learning process.
For many creators working overseas, adjusting to a new culture often extends beyond content creation, requiring them to learn transport systems, community norms and everyday routines before feeling fully settled.
Weather affecting his streams
Vindee also revealed that Germany’s summer weather has affected the length of his livestreams.
“The sun here is very strong. It drains your energy. I can’t stream for many hours.”
He compared Germany with Kenya, saying the atmosphere and environment are very different.
According to Vindee, Kenya’s streets are busier and more energetic, while many areas he has visited in Germany have flat terrain that gives him a different feeling during his broadcasts.
“Kenya’s streets are busy.. Here it is mostly flat, and the energy feels lower.”
Background: Advice before relocating to Germany
Before travelling to Germany,Vindeeshared that he had received advice from a woman living in the country on how to navigate social interactions.
She cautioned him against bringing up politics, religion and personal income in casual conversations, explaining that such topics can be viewed as sensitive.
The advice was aimed at helping him settle in more easily and avoid cultural misunderstandings as he adjusted to life abroad.

Vindee’s international move has also drawn praise from fellow creators. Media personality and MC Azeezah Hashim recently congratulated him on reaching the milestone, describing his progress as an inspiration to Kenyan content creators looking to expand beyond the local scene.
