Chief Justice Martha Koome has emphasized on people centred justice, noting that County Alternative Justice System (AJS) action plan and registries will help address soaring land and succession disputes. Speaking during the launch of AJS plan in Kisii county, Koome noted that rapid population growth and land fragmentation have heavily strained formal courts, making the initiative crucial for deploying trained community practitioners to foster dialogue, preserve relationships and resolve local conflicts amicably.
