Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino have condemned the arrest of Mukurweini MP John Kaguchia over his public remarks. Kalonzo said the law is being applied selectively, questioning why some pro-government officials accused of making tribal remarks have not faced action. He maintained that selective justice has no place in a democracy. Babu said differing political opinions should not be grounds for arrest and called for the protection of freedom of expression without intimidation, harassment, or arbitrary arrests.
