Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has joined a section of Kiambu residents advocating for the division of Kiambu County into two counties to improve service delivery. Cherargei argued that the county’s priority should not be the elevation of Thika Town to city status, saying it has not met the required threshold. He maintained that splitting Kiambu County would better address governance and development needs across the region.
