A section of Kalenjin elders from Uasin Gishu County has pledged to intervene in efforts to resolve the Finland education programme scandal that left hundreds of families counting losses after being duped in a controversial overseas scholarship scheme. The elders expressed concern over the manner in which the matter has been handled, saying it has fueled unnecessary divisions while leaving affected parents and beneficiaries frustrated.
