Forty-six counties have received Sh5.7 billion from the State Department for Devolution to fund local development projects after meeting governance and accountability targets. The funding, supported by the World Bank under the Second Kenya Devolution Support Programme, is expected to strengthen financial management and improve service delivery at the county level.
