Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has welcomed the High Court’s conviction of former Migori Governor Okoth Obado and his co-accused, Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero, over the murder of university student Sharon Otieno. Wanga described the verdict as a victory for justice and praised the judiciary for handling the closely watched trial with integrity and transparency.

Meanwhile, Migori Governor Ochillo Ayacko expressed sadness over the convictions, describing the judgment as a painful moment for the accused and their families.
