President William Ruto has directed Cooperatives and Youth Affairs ministries to scale up the NextGen internship programme by placing 10,000 young people in workplaces within the next three months. Speaking at State House, President announced that government internship funding will rise from the current Sh.2 billion to Sh.5 billion next year, with the aim of guaranteeing every university and TVET graduate a one-year internship.
