High Court has dismissed a petition seeking to bar National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula and Senate counterpart Amason Kingi from participating in political activities. Delivering the ruling, Justice David Mburu upheld a preliminary objection, ruling that the petition filed by Vocal Africa was premature because the petitioners failed to exhaust available legal avenues, such as lodging a complaint with EACC. Judge also held that the petitioners failed to demonstrate how the two leaders violated Chapter Six of the Constitution.
