Treasury CS John Mbadi has announced that the government will embark on nationwide public participation throughout August 2026 to gather views on reducing the tax burden on workers' payslips. Speaking at KICC during the launch of the FY 2027/28 and Medium-Term Budget Preparation Process, Mbadi confirmed that legislative proposals aimed at providing tangible tax relief for Kenyans will be tabled in Parliament by September following extensive stakeholder consultations.
