The government is urging eligible Kenyans who qualify for the Inua Jamii cash transfer programme to report to their local chiefs for guidance on registration. Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua said the programme targets vulnerable citizens and that the government will disburse Sh2.7 billion this month. Serikali inawasihi Wakenya wanaostahiki wanaostahiki mpango wa kuhamisha pesa taslimu wa Inua Jamii kuripoti kwa machifu wao wa eneo hilo kwa mwongozo kuhusu usajili. Waziri wa Ulinzi wa Jamii Alfred Mutua alisema mpango huo unawalenga raia walio katika mazingira magumu na kwamba serikali itatoa Sh2.7 bilioni mwezi huu. Aliongeza kuwa serikali inasasisha sajili yake, huku hifadhidata ya 2024 ikionyesha kuwa kaya milioni 4.4 zinanufaika na mpango huo.
