2027 presidential hopeful Eliud Owalo has condemned the rising cases of goonism, linking the trend to political tokenism and youth unemployment. Owalo said many unemployed young people had resorted to crime due to a lack of sustainable livelihoods, while politicians continued to exploit their vulnerability for political gain.
