The Kenya Defence Forces has foiled suspected terror attacks in Lamu after troops detected and safely destroyed four improvised explosive devices planted along key supply routes used by security forces and civilians. The explosives were discovered during separate operations under Operation Amani Boni, as troops conducted route clearance, dominance patrols and intelligence-led operations. The IEDs were intercepted and neutralized before they could be detonated.
