Communities in Tana River County holding illegal firearms have until end of tomorrow to surrender them as the government steps up efforts to restore peace and curb recurring inter-clan clashes. The directive follows security meetings involving chiefs, elders and religious leaders. Speaking in Tana North, County Commissioner Joseph Mwangi said one firearm has been surrendered, but nine others remain in civilian hands, urging compliance.
