Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr says his administration is investing in smart agriculture to enhance food security and address risks linked to traditional farming. He noted the county has prioritised climate-smart practices, including drought-tolerant crops, water harvesting and digital advisory services to boost productivity. Consequently, he said that together with the national government, the county is also supporting key value chains such as dairy, poultry, beekeeping, mangoes and tomatoes.
