Musician Willy Paulhas urged the government and fellow public figures to take a stronger stand against the spread of explicit content on social media, saying the growing circulation of such material poses a risk to children and society.
The singer shared a lengthy statement on his Instagram Stories, where he called on authorities to address what he described as the increasing presence of nudity and other explicit material across online platforms.
“I cannot stay silent”
In his statement, Willy Paulsaid he felt compelled to speak out because of his position as an artist, public figure and parent.

“As a musician, public figure and parent, I cannot stay silent while explicit content, nudity and other immoral behaviour continue to spread across online platforms unchecked.”
He urged the government and relevant agencies to treat the matter with urgency, arguing that prolonged inaction could have lasting consequences.
“The longer we remain silent, the more we risk losing our values and exposing our children to harmful influences.”
Call for responsible use of influence
The singer also appealed to fellow celebrities and content creators to consider the impact of what they post online, saying influence comes with responsibility.
According to Willy Paul, freedom of expression should be balanced with accountability and concern for younger audiences.
“Freedom of expression should never come at the expense of decency, responsibility and the well-being of our young generation.”
He added that society should work towards creating an online environment where positive values are encouraged rather than harmful content becoming normalised.
Willy Paul concluded by acknowledging that not everyone would agree with his views but maintained that he would continue advocating for the protection of children and families.
“Many may disagree with me, and that’s okay. But I will always stand for protecting our children, our families and the moral fabric of our society.”
