Popular streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed has made an emotional appeal to Spain’s teenage star Lamine Yamal ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, urging him to stop Lionel Messi and Argentina from lifting the trophy.
The internet personality, who is widely known for his admiration of Cristiano Ronaldo, shared the message during a livestream shortly after Argentina came from behind to beat England 2-1 in Wednesday’s semi-final.
Argentina’s victory secured a place in Sunday’s final, where the defending champions will face Spain after the European side defeated France 2-0 in the other semi-final.

In the widely shared clip, Speedaddressed Yamal directly, saying the young forward now carries the hopes of Ronaldo’s supporters around the world.
“Lamine Yamal, brother, there is a lot of weight on your shoulders.”
He continued by referencing the long-running football rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo.
“If Messi wins the World Cup in another year, I don’t know what I can say as a Ronaldo fan. I can’t say anything.”
Speed ended his message with a passionate plea.
