Deputy Inspector General of police Eliud Lagat has warned that security agencies will intensify operations to dismantle cartels behind the production and sale of illicit alcohol in the North Rift. He said the dangerous brews are killing young people and fueling crime. Speaking at Moi’s Bridge during the opening of a new police station, Lagat added that authorities are also relying on intelligence-led efforts to disrupt criminal networks.
