The government has launched a National Strategy on the Transformation of the Informal Economy aimed at creating decent jobs and expanding the formal sector. Labour and Skills Development PS Shadrack Mwadime says over 82 per cent of Kenya's workforce is in the informal economy. He says the strategy will promote inclusive economic growth and sustainable livelihoods.
