Justice Gatembu Kairu has committed to enhancing judicial efficiency and improving access to justice. Speaking during his inauguration as the President of the Court of Appeal, Kairu acknowledged a significant backlog, noting that nearly 12,000 civil appeals are pending nationwide. He emphasized the necessity of both intellectual rigor and unwavering fidelity to constitutional values to strengthen public confidence in the judicial process.
