Argentina have booked their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final after coming from behind to defeat England 2-1 in a gripping semi-final at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The reigning world champions overturned a first-half deficit to eliminate England and move within one victory of retaining the World Cup. Argentina will now face Spain in Sunday's final after the Spaniards defeated France 2-0 in the other semi-final.

Thomas Tuchel's side looked organised and created several promising opportunities through Harry Kane and and Gordon, while Declan Rice and Bellingham controlled much of the midfield.
Argentina, however, gradually settled into the contest and began enjoying more possession as the first half progressed.
Argentina Turn the Match Around
The defending champions emerged after the break with greater intensity.
Lionel Messi played a key role in Argentina's attacking build-up as Lionel Scaloni's side increased the pressure on England's defence.
The breakthrough came in the 85th minute when Enzo Fernandez equalised with a composed finish after a well-worked attacking move.
With the match appearing destined for extra time, Argentina struck again deep into stoppage time.
Lautaro Martínez scored the winner in the 90+2nd minute, finishing clinically to complete the comeback and send Argentina into another World Cup final.

England pushed forward in the closing moments but could not find another equaliser before the final whistle.
