The Ministry of Education requires Sh58.6 million to complete the removal and disposal of asbestos roofing in TVET institutions. Appearing before the Public Investments Committee on Governance and Education, CS Julius Ogamba said six of the country’s 248 TVETs in the country are yet to finish the removal and disposal of asbestos roofing. He said the ministry will engage the National Treasury and stakeholders to secure funds for the phased removal, disposal and replacement of hazardous asbestos materials in institutions.
