A senior veterinary doctor has petitioned Parliament to amend the law to recognize clinically diagnosed low libido in men and Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder in women as disabilities. The petitioner, Benson Kibere, says sexual dysfunction should be treated as a public health issue rather than a private matter, due to its impact on mental health, family stability and reproductive wellbeing. He also wants the assessment, diagnosis, counselling and treatment of clinically recognized sexual dysfunctions included in SHA’s benefits package.
