Prophet Victor Kanyari has claimed that one of the suspects accused of stealing car parts belonging to Geoffrey Mosiria is a member of his church and had previously benefited from his support programme.
Speaking during a church service, Kanyari said he was saddened after learning that the suspect had allegedly used a motorcycle he had received through the pastor's empowerment initiative before being linked to the theft.
The preacher maintained that he had no prior knowledge of the alleged offence and only became aware of the matter after the suspect's arrest.
“Aliiba na pikipiki yangu. Ni mtu wa kanisa langu,” Kanyari said.

Kanyari explained that the suspect had approached him recently seeking assistance, saying he was struggling financially and suffering from an eye problem.
However, Kanyari said he was later informed that the same individual had been arrested in connection with the alleged theft of Mosiria's car parts.

The prophet expressed disappointment, saying the purpose of donating motorcycles was to create employment opportunities rather than facilitate criminal activity.
Empowerment programme
Kanyari said he has donated more than 300 motorcycles to young people over the years as part of an initiative to promote self-employment.
He noted that many beneficiaries have successfully used the motorcycles for transport and delivery, enabling them to support themselves and their families.
The pastor, however, acknowledged that not every recipient has made responsible choices.

Mosiria's anti-crime campaign
The alleged theft comes as Geoffrey Mosiria continues to campaign against vandalism and theft affecting motorists and public infrastructure in Nairobi.
Mosiria has regularly shared updates on social media highlighting arrests linked to the theft of manhole covers, drainage grills and vehicle parts.

Investigations ongoing
Police investigations into the alleged theft are continuing. Authorities have not publicly indicated whether additional suspects are being sought or disclosed further details about the case.
