Council of Governors ASAL Committee Chairperson Nathif Jama has called for stronger collaboration between national and county governments to transform Kenya’s livestock and meat sector. Speaking at the Kenya Meat Conference in Nyeri, Jama said progress cannot be achieved in isolation. He called for a strategic shift from traditional livestock rearing to a commercially competitive meat industry to fully unlock the vast potential of ASAL regions.
