The government says it is stepping up efforts to eliminate payroll fraud across the public service following an independent audit. Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku says the audit and forensic reports have been handed to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations as part of a whole-of-government response to investigate irregularities and strengthen accountability in payroll management.
