Over 200,000 students have been placed in degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year through Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service. This is according to Education CS Julius Ogamba who says another 28,246 students have secured places at Kenya Medical Training College, while 875 joined secondary teacher training colleges. The Education CS has directed KUCCPS to reopen applications for eligible students who missed the initial placement window.
