The WHO says cancer remains the world's second leading cause of death, killing nearly 10 million people every year. Launching its Global Status Report on Cancer 2026 in Geneva, WHO says millions still lack access to timely diagnosis and treatment. Director-General Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus has called for stronger political commitment to close global inequalities in cancer care.
