Deputy President Kithure Kindiki says the 60,000-seater Talanta Sports City is nearing completion, terming it Kenya’s first new international stadium in nearly four decades. Speaking after inspecting the Ngong Road facility, he called it a milestone in sports infrastructure, noting that no stadium has been built since Kasarani in 1987. Kindiki added that the government is constructing 31 other stadiums nationwide, to boost talent development and global competitiveness.
