Kiswahili has strengthened peace, conflict resolution, and regional integration in East Africa. Kiswahili scholar Hamisi Babusa says the language has minimized communication barriers, helping reduce conflicts, as the world marks International Kiswahili Day under the theme: Kiswahili for Peace, Solidarity and Global Economic Diplomacy.
