Rights activists say they were blocked from accessing Parliament today as they sought to present a petition during Saba Saba Day commemorations. Led by activist Elisha Ochieng, the group claimed they had notified the police of their planned procession last week but were prevented from reaching Parliament. They accused security officers of denying them an opportunity to exercise their constitutional right to petition Parliament.
