Rights activists have alleged that several of their colleagues were arrested during Saba Saba Day commemorations. Speaking in Nairobi, activist Elisha Ochieng claimed police disrupted their planned procession to Parliament despite prior notification to the authorities. Nairobi Police Commander Issa Mohamud says 10 people were arrested in the capital; 6 in Pangani and 4 in the CBD.
