Construction of the 10,000-seater Migori Stadium in Migori County has reached 75 percent, Governor Ochillo Ayacko has announced. Speaking during an inspection tour, he said the project which is a partnership between the county and national government, is on track for completion and usage by September. He said once finished, the modern facility will help nurture local talent and host both regional and national sporting events, boosting sports development in the region.

Beyond the sporting infrastructure, Governor Ayacko said the works are already providing employment opportunities for residents in the surrounding area.
