Vurugu 2 turned Sarit Expo Centre into a full evening of boxing action as professional and exhibition fighters stepped into the ring across multiple divisions. With several match-ups scheduled throughout the night, the event shifted attention from pre-fight talk to movement, endurance and execution inside the ropes.
From tactical contests to high-tempo exchanges, each fight brought a different style to the card.
Early Bouts Set the Tempo
The opening contests established the energy for the evening. One of the early fights featured Gachau Njoroge against Fidphil Castro in a contest that relied more on patience than aggression. Both fighters worked behind controlled movement and measured combinations while looking to avoid costly mistakes.

Chris Milano later entered the ring against Jacob Mahindo in another contest that balanced defence with bursts of offence. Clinton Odhiambo and Tyson Mauru also produced one of the more competitive fights on the card, with momentum shifting during different stages of the contest.

The event also included East African representation. Fatuma Zarika of Kenya faced Tanzania’s Najma Isike in one of the evening’s notable cross-border contests. The fight attracted attention because of the experience both competitors brought into the ring and added a regional dimension to the event.
Elsewhere, Isaac Digracious of Tanzania took on Kenya’s Salim Mustafa Omoit in a light heavyweight meeting that added another international element to the card.

Additional contests kept the programme moving throughout the evening. Alfayo Siwo squared off against Mbali Mbali in another scheduled fight, while Lewis Kariokie met Haleed Inwani. Bernard Achoki also featured against Azad Nassir, while Munasar Abdallah closed out part of the boxing programme against Mr Clear the Air.
