Tanzanian music star Zuchu discussed her views on motherhood during a Wasafi FM interview, answering questions about whether and when she plans to have children and her desired family size.

“When are you planning to have a child?”
The presenter asked her directly when she was planning to become a mother. Zuchu responded calmly, saying she does not believe in setting timelines for such life events.

“If God grants me that blessing, it can happen at any time. I have not planned whether it will be this year or next year.”
She added that she sees motherhood as something guided by faith rather than personal scheduling or pressure from society.
“I am not the one who plans. The one who plans is God. If I am blessed at any time, I will accept it.”
Her tone during the interview was relaxed, and she repeatedly emphasised acceptance of whatever the future brings.
“Two children for me, ten for my partner”
The conversation then shifted to how many children she would ideally want. Her answer revealed a striking difference between her and her partner’s expectations. “My husband wants ten children, but for me, I would really prefer just two.”
Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz are reported to have formalised their relationship in a private Islamic nikkah ceremony on June 1, 2025.
The union, though kept away from heavy public attention, has continued to attract strong interest across East Africa due to their celebrity status and influence in the music industry.
