Kenyan actor Real Bugi has announced the death of his mother through an emotional post shared on his Instagram page, describing her as his “best friend” and the person who stood closest to him throughout his life.In the statement, he revealed that she had been unwell for some time and had been receiving care before her passing on Monday morning.

“I never thought I would have to write a post like this.”
“With a heavy heart, I share that my mother, my best friend, the woman who held me close and whom I held close, is no longer with us.”

The actor said the family had done everything possible during her illness, noting that he witnessed her struggle and resilience throughout the period she was unwell.

He added that despite the pain of the loss, he finds some comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering.
“I watched her fight. I watched her push through. But on Monday morning, she chose to rest.”
“As much as this breaks my heart, I find comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain.”

Appeal for medical bill support

Alongside the announcement, the actor also made a public appeal for financial assistance to help settle an outstanding hospital bill amounting to KES 3.8 million. He said the family is now faced with both grief and the financial burden left by the prolonged medical care.
He called on friends, fans, and well-wishers to support where possible, noting that any contribution would help give his mother a dignified send-off.
