Media personality Betty Kyallo has delighted fans by announcing she has welcomed her second child. The celebrated journalist and entrepreneur shared the news on Instagram, reflecting on the "perfect design" of her life after years of uncertainty about expanding her family.
Kyallo, who is already a mother to her daughter Ivanna, revealed that she often questioned if she would ever experience the joys of a newborn again. However, the arrival of her second baby with partner Charlie Jones has marked a significant turning point for the star.
Breaking the Silence on 'The Streets'
In a candid post, Kyallo admitted to having deep-seated doubts about whether she would ever settle down in a committed relationship. Using the popular local slang "kutoka streets" (leaving the single life), she confessed that her previous lifestyle made her wonder if a stable family unit was in her future.
"Hadi nilikuwa najishuku kama naweza toka streets (I even doubted if I could leave the streets)," Kyallo shared with her followers, adding several laughing emojis to highlight the irony of her past fears.
Kyallo noted that she knew her "lifestyle had to change" to accommodate this new chapter.
A New Platform for Truth
To satisfy the curiosity of her supporters, Kyallo promised to launch a podcast where she will disclose the "many, many things" she has kept private. This new venture aims to provide a platform for her to share her journey more organically.
"Ntaanza podcast niwashow (I will start a podcast to show you all)," she wrote, suggesting that no topic will be off-limits regarding her evolution from a solo media maven to a mother of two.
Family Ties and Partner Support
The media star also took a moment to praise her partner, Charlie Jones, referred to affectionately as CJ. She encouraged her followers to "trust in Him," referring to her faith in the timing of her life and the people brought into it.
Interestingly, Kyallo pointed out a sentimental detail regarding her children’s age gap. She noted that the difference in age between her two children is almost identical to the age gap between herself and her younger sister, Gloria Kyallo.
"So I know they will have a very beautiful relationship just like Lolo [Gloria] and I," she remarked.
Betty Kyallo has long been a staple of Kenyan television, having served as a lead anchor for major networks including KTN and K24. Beyond the screen, she has built a business empire, most notably the luxury salon Flair by Betty.
Her transition into a "Mother of Two" marks a new era for the entrepreneur. With her partner Charlie Jones by her side—who responded to her post with "My GIRLS"—Kyallo seems ready to trade the "streets" for the structure of a growing family.
