Fresh online claims alleging that Timothy Kimani Ndegwa secretly registered his properties and vehicles under his mother’s name have sparked widespread discussion on social media.

The allegations gained traction after a viral clip featuring presenters from Radio Maisha discussed claims that the comedian had transferred ownership of his assets following reports of his separation from wife Celestine Ndinda.

However, blogger Edgar Obare later shared documents allegedly sourced from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) database showing the ownership details of two matatus associated with the couple.

The records reportedly listed both Njugush and Ndinda as the registered owners, contradicting claims that all the assets had been placed under his mother’s name.

The rumours also drew comparisons online to Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi, whose financial arrangements once became a widely debated topic on social media.

Njugush and Ndinda Built a Brand Together

Njugush and Ndinda are among Kenya’s best-known celebrity couples, having built a successful entertainment brand together over the years through comedy skits, live shows and online content.

The two met while studying at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication and later turned their chemistry into one of Kenya’s most successful comedy partnerships under the TTNT brand.

They were together for around 14 years and legally married for eight years after tying the knot in December 2016 in a star-studded wedding attended by friends, relatives and figures from the entertainment industry.

Couple Also Invested in the Matatu Industry

Apart from entertainment, the former couple also invested in other ventures, including the matatu industry.

Njugush and Ndinda reportedly acquired two 33-seater metro buses named after their sons, Tugi and Toria. One of the matatus, Tugi, recently attracted attention online after being revamped with a fresh new design that became a talking point among matatu enthusiasts.

Separation Announcement Sparked Debate

Last month, Njugush publicly confirmed that he and Ndinda had gone their separate ways and were focusing on co-parenting their children.

Despite the announcement, some fans continued to question whether the breakup was genuine, with speculation emerging online that the split could have been linked to publicity surrounding TTNT Season 6.

Neither Njugush nor Ndinda has publicly addressed the recent claims surrounding the ownership of their properties.

Old Relationship Videos Resurface

Following news of their separation, several old interview clips featuring the former couple resurfaced online and quickly went viral.

In one of the videos, Ndinda jokingly remarked that she married Njugush because she was “idle”, while the comedian spoke about the qualities he was looking for in a partner before meeting her.

“I had a checklist. I wanted a Kamba or Coastal lady. I was looking for someone calm, God-fearing and well-endowed,” Njugush said in the clip.

The resurfaced videos triggered mixed reactions online, with some social media users sharing their thoughts on relationships, marriage and long-term compatibility.
