Guests and invited attendees follow proceedings during the swearing-in ceremony of judges at State House, Nairobi, as senior officials witness the occasion on May 4 /PCS

President William Ruto on Monday presided over the swearing-in of newly appointed judges of the High Court at State House Nairobi, in a ceremony marked by formal oaths, congratulatory exchanges and renewed calls for judicial efficiency.

The Head of State urged the judges to embrace discipline, accountability and commitment in executing their mandate, saying public office comes with a responsibility to deliver results without delay.

The event brought together senior government officials, members of the judiciary and invited guests.

During the ceremony, the judges took their oaths of office, signed official instruments of appointment and were formally welcomed into service.

 The President later congratulated the appointees individually after the swearing-in, signalling the start of their judicial duties.
