A resurfaced video of Timothy Kimani Njugush and Celestine Ndinda discussing what they were looking for in a partner before settling down has reignited conversation online, days after news of their separation.

The couple, who were widely admired for their chemistry and often served “couple goals” during their eight-year marriage, had built a strong following through their podcast where they openly shared their love story.

Njugush and Celestine met while in college and were together for over a decade before eventually parting ways.

On April 21, Njugush shocked fans after announcing that they had quietly separated in 2025 and were now co-parenting.

Old Clip Resurfaces

Following the announcement, a throwback clip from their podcast began circulating widely online.

In the video, Celestine candidly shared that when she first got into a relationship with Njugush, it was not necessarily driven by love.

“I didn't have a marking scheme. I met this person… I was idle, having a good time,” she said.

When Njugush asked whether things would have turned out differently if she had been more occupied, she maintained that she would still have ended up with him. Njugush disagreed, saying:
“That’s unfair and the wrong way of looking at it.”

He added that he had a clear checklist for his ideal partner, while Celestine said she was simply looking for a God-fearing man.
