Kenyan gospel stars Linet Munyali, better known as Size 8, and her husband Sammy Muraya,or DJ Mo, have officially moved into their newly built home.
The move marks the end of a long construction process defined by financial discipline and personal sacrifice.
Size 8 celebrated the milestone by releasing a new song titled ‘Pole Pole’. The title translates to ‘slowly’ in Swahili. It serves as a testimony to the couple’s patient journey toward home ownership.
A Musical Testimony
In the song, Size 8 encourages fans to trust in God’s timing. The lyrics describe a feeling of restoration, with the singer noting that "Jesus made a way" when she thought she was finished.
She urges listeners not to let struggles or worries weigh them down while waiting for their own breakthroughs.
"Pole pole Yesu amefanya. Everything gone, I thought I was gone. All hope was gone, but one day Jesus made a way... don't let your worries put you down, don’t let the struggles weigh you down,” she sang.
The music video features several familiar faces from the Kenyan entertainment scene. Notable personalities such as Wapendwa Muziki, Dorea Chege, and the Wadosi family (Director Ritchie and his wife Rena Favoured) appear in the visuals to support the couple.
The True Cost of a Dream
The couple in a past interview disclosed the financial scale of their project. While attending a business launch, DJ Mo revealed the mansion is valued at a minimum of 45 to 46 million Kenyan Shillings.
The property is situated in an elite area where some neighbouring homes cost as much as 70 million Shillings.

By late 2025, the house was reported to be 95% complete. DJ Mo noted that the project took time because they wanted to avoid "guesswork" in their final family residence.
“It’s a beautiful home. It has taken us time to finish because we don’t want guesswork, because it’s a home. It is approximately... let's say maybe 45 or 46 million, we’ve really saved a lot,” DJ Mo revealed.
Sacrifices for Success
Reaching this goal required the couple to make significant lifestyle changes. Size 8 shared that they intentionally avoided buying new luxury items during the build.
- Vehicles: The couple has not purchased a new car since 2018.
- Fashion: Size 8 admitted to wearing thrifted clothes instead of buying new designer outfits.
- Daily Spending: They cut back on "Sunday luxuries" and expensive meals to stay on budget.
Size 8 advised other aspiring homeowners to "downgrade" their current living situations while building. She admitted that one of their own mistakes was not moving to a cheaper rental house sooner to save more money.
"We cut costs everywhere because we know where we are targeting,” she advised.
