Global sportswear brand Puma has officially opened a new retail store at Village Market, one of Nairobi’s leading lifestyle and shopping destinations. The move signals its commitment to growing its footprint in Kenya and bringing the brand closer to consumers.
The grand opening drew a diverse crowd. Dignitaries, influencers, industry players and sports enthusiasts attended the event. Among them was German Ambassador to Kenya, Sebastian Groth, who emphasised the strong ties between Germany and Kenya.
“Today’s opening is more than just a retail expansion—it is a symbol of the growing partnership between Germany and Kenya,” the ambassador said.
“Puma is a visible brand in Germany, and we are happy to be here with you. I can only advise you to shop a lot and enjoy the quality and fashion of PUMA, which is a nice and good brand.”

“Today marks a proud moment with the opening of the latest PUMA store in Village Market, Nairobi. Puma has been closely connected to Kenya, supporting its athletes and community, including Kenya's world-class runners,” he said. “This store is more than a retail space, it's a statement within and its future."
A representative from the Ministry of Sports attended on behalf of Principal Secretary for Sports, Elijah Mwangi. He commended the investment and its potential to create jobs and boost the local economy.

The opening of this store at Village Market is a big boost towards the growth and development of sports, not just in Kenya but within East Africa."
The new store showcases a curated selection of Puma’s latest footwear, apparel and accessories. It caters to both sport and style. The design follows Puma’s global retail concept and offers a modern shopping experience.
The launch event had a vibrant atmosphere. Guests explored the store and celebrated the brand’s continued growth in the region.
