Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako at Tononoka ground on Sunday / BRIAN OTIENO

Linda Mwananchi leaders have arrived at Tononoka Grounds in Mombasa County for their rally.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Vihiga Senator Geoffrey Osotsi, and Siaya Governor James Orengo arrived at the Tononoka Grounds amid cheers from crowds.

The ground was filled as early as 11am. Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka was also present.

Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako said those who cannot see yet have eyes should not blame anyone when the train leaves the station.

“If they can't see where the country is moving to, then they should not blame us,” Mwashako said.

He claimed that last month he was ousted from leading the Coast Parliamentary Group as chair because he is in Team Linda Mwananchi.

He added that they have started the journey to liberate the Coast region from the shackles of oppression.

Former Ganze MP and Kilifi County Speaker Teddy Mwambire said Coast leaders should be careful not to lead the region astray. He said minerals are abundant in the region, but residents do not benefit.

Former Mombasa Woman Representative Asha “Ashu” Mohamed said the time has come for Coast region leaders to wake up and smell the coffee.

Former Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi said they only have Mwashako as their saviour at the Coast.
