Kenyan digital journalist and YouTuber Nicholas Kioko has opened up about the relentless pressure his marriage faces from anonymous online critics.
Speaking on a recent episode on a podcast alongside his wife, Wambo Ashley, Kioko detailed a specific attempt to break their bond using a "pseudo" social media account.
The couple, who are prominent figures in the Kenyan entertainment space, shared how high-profile relationships are often targeted by strangers. Kioko revealed that many individuals are actively working to see his union fail, but he remains firm in his commitment to his wife.

The Anatomy of a "Pseudo" Trap
During the interview, Kioko narrated a calculated attempt to frame him for infidelity. An anonymous user created a fake account and messaged Wambo Ashley, claiming Kioko was involved with another woman. The stranger even provided a specific name to make the lie more believable.
“Kama juzi kuna msee alienda akatext bibi yangu... na pseudo... alifungua hiyo account leo na akamtext kama kesho akamwambia you know what nataka uingie kwa simu ya Kioko kuna dem anaitwa fulani fulani they’re lovers,” Kioko revealed.

The confrontation occurred while the couple was walking along Harambee Avenue in Nairobi, heading towards a bank near the Central Police Station. Wambo Ashley presented the name to Kioko, asking for an explanation.
"I have so many people who are fighting this marriage a lot... but the one thing I will not give them is the chance to see it go down,” he affirmed.

Four Thousand Contacts and a Business Truth
Kioko, who manages a massive digital network, explained that he maintains a contact list of over 4,000 people. He told the podcast host that he is so familiar with his records that he can mentally scroll through them alphabetically, from A to Z.
Upon investigating the name provided by the anonymous messenger, Kioko realised the woman in question was actually a business associate. He was able to trace the origins of the message and even identified the individual behind the fake account. Rather than escalating the matter, he chose to let it go, though it served as a stark reminder of the external forces at play in his private life.
Standing Firm Against the "Haters"
Despite the repeated attempts to sow discord, Kioko issued a clear message to those hoping for a separation. He stated that he is not prepared to walk away from his marriage.
"I am not conceding. I am not leaving this girl."
Wambo Ashley appeared to echo this sentiment of stability during the interview, playfully noting that Kioko treats her well.

The couple, who share twin sons and a daughter, have frequently documented their lives online, which Kioko suggests has made them a target for those who thrive on celebrity scandals.
